Losing Brain Cells in Palm Desert: Yes, Writing is a Real Job!

My friend, author Marilyn J. Woody, and I got together in her home in Palm Desert to get a little work done. Yes, writing is a real job--just ask my missing brain cells.Of course, I do get pampered over there: gourmet meals, healthy snacks, a good doze of laughter, and a lot of fellowship.

In any case, we really did get a lot of work done and even got to the tasks of publishing her short stories onto Kindle. Marilyn has a gazillion stories to tell and I'm hoping she can actually get them out of her head and onto paper ... digital paper that is.

After cleaning up her emails; learning how to send bulk emails; updating the Christmas Card list and getting labels done for that Christmas list (we are way ahead of schedule); checking in on Marilyn's Facebook author page and finding out what to post and how many times a day or week she should post; learning to pronounce LinkedIn, and finding out what's going on with Project Pronounce English which we set up on GoDaddy. Apparently the renewal notice from GoDaddy is also a year too early. Checking emails on GoDaddy, by the way, would be so much easier if we could only remember which email it forwards to ... or maybe it doesn't forward at all. GoDaddy! We're all using it; we're all confused.

Okay, well ... when all is said and done (cliche, I know), Marilyn J. Woody, author of books such as High Chair Devotions, A Child Book of Angels, Basil the Bear Series, Splish Splash Devotions and countless magazine articles, has finally entered the digital market.

Marilyn has a gazillion stories to tell about her days working with special needs children. Stories about substitute teachers which are sometimes funny, brilliant, have life lessons beyond the classroom walls, and some should probably not be put to print ... but you know that won't stop any Alten Ink author.

We're offering the first installment of the Sub Short Stories for 99cents on Kindle. The second installment might well be offered for free ... not teasin' ya; well, we actually are, but only to whet your appetite for more stories to come.

Welcome Marilyn J. Woody to Alten Ink. We are pleased, and quite proud, to have you as one of our authors.

Here's "To Clear a Conscience."
